Members and visitors are advised that there will be a lot of activity at our club and at our neighbours (Deerpark Pitch and Putt Club) on Saturday and Sunday of this weekend. Because of the crowds expected we will have to put traffic restrictions in place for safety reasons. We hope that everyone will understand and adhere to to the plan that is set out underneath.
SATURDAY 8th SEPTEMBER.
1. All Ireland Pitch and Putt Championship in Deerpark Club. This event is expected to attract an attendance of between 1500 and 2000 people
2. Restart of Dr Crokes Academy
3. The Colm Cooper Invitational Tournament (involving U13 teams from around the country.
For safety reasons no vehicular traffic will be allowed enter beyond the main road and visitors (including parents with children) are asked to park away from the area and walk to the club to drop off and to collect their children. Safety Stewards from both clubs will be on duty at the main road to assist people and parking will be available in Fitzgerald Stadium or at Daltons Avenue Car Park.
SUNDAY 9th SEPTEMBER.
1. The Pitch and Putt Championships continue and Dr Crokes Club has agreed to make our facilities available to the Deerpark Club for the day and they will be responsible for controlling access. Any of our members who need to access the club grounds should only do so on foot and are asked to respect the directions of the Safety Stewards on duty.
At 12noon Dr Crokes girls play Spa in a County Semi Final and all players, managers, supporters and officials from both clubs are asked to park away from the grounds and walk in. This also applies to persons attending the two Senior Football Championship games in Fitzgerald Stadium during the afternoon.
We hope that all members and visitors will appreciate the need for these restrictions and understand that safety is our primary concern.
