East Kerry League Dr Crokes U 11.. 5-15 Kenmare 5-13..A terrific sporting game of football between two evenly contested teams in Lewis Rd this morning with the crokes boys emerging with a deserved two point win. Crokes started the brighter with hardworking midfielders Dara Griffin and Sean Kiely supplying plenty ball to free scoring forwards Liam Hennigan scorer of 2-09 Nathan Cronin 2-04 ably assisted by Brian Mc Carthy 0-02 and Ben Kelleher 1-00..Adam Byrne playing a free role was terrific at the back and Dara O Sullivan in goal made some brilliant saves and is developing into a fine keeper. Young Luke O Shea had a terrific game and made great clever use of the ball out of defence. Muiris O Donoghue and Jack O Donoghue worked had in defence ably assisted by Cathal Sugrue who again had a fine game with some vital interceptions.. The subs all did very well when introduced Cilian White Cian Brennan James O Shea and Ryan Downing and Cilian despite picking up an injury managed to come back on and finish the game. Well done to Kenmare for contributing to a fine game of football and to referee Tom Moriarty for his usual assured and sensible refereeing of the game.. Well done to everyone..
