We will have members of Dr Crokes Club participating in the Ring of Kerry Charity Cycle this year and perhaps you can see your way to volunteer to fundraise for the IAN O CONNELL FUND as outlined in the appeal underneath from our good neighbours from Spa Gaa Club. Please remember too that Ian was one of our hurlers and we wish him well.

A number of clubs and individuals have been contacting Spa about the Ring of Kerry Charity Cycle on July 7th and signing up for the Ian O'Connell Trust. Can you please advise your members of the following -

Registration for the Cycle can be done online via the Ring of Kerry Charity Cycle website and linked to the Ian O'Connell Trust - https://www.ringofkerrycycle.ie/ian-oconnell-trust/
For anyone who wants help with their registration or anyone who hasn't registered yet, there will be a registration night in Spa GAA Clubhouse this Thursday night from 9pm - 10pm. There will also be another registration night next week if required, details to be confirmed
Sponsorship Cards for the Trust are available from the committee and for anyone who has signed up for Ian but has not received their card yet, or anyone not cycling but would like a sponsorship card for Ian, please contact me on 0876332773 or secretary.spa.kerry@gaa.ie
Anyone who would like to register for the 'Vintage' cycle this year as part of the 35th anniversary of the Ring of Kerry Charity Cycle must register as normal via the website or at the registration night. Anyone signing up to do the vintage option needs to contact us directly to let us know as it is not a separate option on the booking form. There are 2 vintage routes - one will be the full Ring of Kerry route for people on older bicycles, and there will be a stop with music and 'curney' bread near Caherdaniel for these cyclists. The second route will be less intense and will be the last wave of cyclists heading off that morning. These cyclists will be going to Killorglin, taking a break there, and returning to Killarney again via Beaufort :-)
A number of people have been offering to volunteer for the Trust on the day. Can you please ask anyone who is volunteering to contact us directly as there will be help needed before and during the cycle, including drivers, medical personnel, stewards etc

If anyone has any queries or if any of your members are asking for details, can you please advise them of the details above or they can contact me or any of the Ring of Kerry Cycle committee.
