The home team prevailed in a close encounter,with Rathmore's ability to score goals the difference on the night. Again last night,we allowed our opponents to build a lead and trailed by seven points at half time. However, a tremendous second half comeback and an eight point turn around,had us leading by a point with a few minutes to go. Rathmore to their credit snatched two late goals and despite Crokes having two goalbound 13 yard frees one saved and one hit the crossbar to hold out for the win.

Thanks to Rathmore for hosting a fine,keenly contested, competitive game and for Christy Cowley for his sensible refereeing in difficult ground conditions. While Neil O’Carroll had another outstanding game scoring 1-08 and Adam Byrne was excellent defensively.
